Wow, 42 posts already?

Ok, my job has been going great. I have my 2nd lesson tomorrow! YAY! But some parent decided to complain about the pOny Express, so now we're kinda sad (cause they could shut us down!).

Anyways, today Linda took us down to the polo fields, and there was a horse down. About 4 people surrounded it.

We were shocked.

As we pulled in, Callin and Linda went to go see the horse. Me, Jackie, and Kailey stayed in the car. Callin said it might be one of Jon's horses. It might be Tea Time...

Jackie was crying. Jackie loved Tea Time. She was an amazing horse.

Got you scared huh? Turned out it wasn't Jon's horse, which means it wasn't Tea Time. But how it died was scary. After a good game, the horse was walking back when it started twitching. A seizure. They the horse had a heart attack and collapsed. The lifeless body of the horse was covered in a tarp. It was quiet in the few moments we were there. It was a young horse too. :(

2nd Day on the Job

I arrived at the park at 9:30 (early for summer, know...) and Linda (my boss/instructor) and the girls were already there and the ponies were eating. I just chatted for a while. A few girls rode bareback around the pen a few times. The horses/ponies were Midnight, Lucy <3 , Milo, and Pompa. I love Lucy!! Then at 11, the regular routine; leading ponies around the pen. It was funny, we didn't have a hoof pick, for Kaitlin has to use a spoon! LOL! Then in the afternoon, around 4, I got to ride Lucy! I walked, trotted, and did even more cantering! I'm really getting good at the canter, but my sitting trot could use more work (we have to ride Western cause we have Western saddles). Well, that was my day...oh yeah, I also learned how to trailor a horse!

1st Day on the Job!

OMG! It was so much fun! When I got there, we unloaded the horses. There was Lucy, Willow, Lucky, Rusty, Henry, and ... (i forgot the other horse's name). So I lead kids around on the horses and brushed a few horses. Then finally, at the end, I got to ride Lucy! It was so awesome! I was walking her around the pen, then went to trot and then the canter! YAY! But when I got home, I was all dusty. But my first day was awesome! And I'm planning to go back tomorrow! Full day! Well, that's it for now, CUL8TR!

Horses in my Future

Over the summer, I might get a job leading horses and ponies around a pen for pony rides. Every 2 days I work, I get one free lesson! I am so happy and very hopeful! I still have to arrange transportation and the days I'll be working, and then I'm set for the summer.

Breyerfest: Total bust! Mom says it's too expensive, so I guess I'll have to buy Alborozo on eBay.

I can't wait for free lessons! I'd probably have to feed, groom, and tack up the ponies for the pony rides, but thats the fun part! I'm so excited, I want to scream!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! might start this week or next week!

My b-day is only a month away! YAY! I got $50 from Graduation, but spent $20 at Target today. Mom is planning to go on a hike today, but it doesn't look likely. Oh well.

Oh yeah....the highest I can jump (on sand) is 4 feet high! I'm so proud oh myself!!! ^_^
